Please follow the instructions below to setup your third party integration. The examples below show a CourtDrive-Clio integration. but they all work the same:
Step 1: When logged in to CourtDrive, click on the Integrations tab on the top navigation:
Step 2: Read the pricing information and click on the on the "I agree let me continue" button; then toggle the "ON" switch next to the Clio listing as shown below:
Step 3: Authenticate with Clio:
Step 4: After you authenticate with Clio, you will see configuration option regarding how you want your PDFs uploaded. For new customers, you won't need to pick a start date. For existing customers, you may pick a date when to start uploading PDFs to Clio in case you do not want older cases getting synced. You may also decide to have exhibits combined into a single PDF and to sync all cases in the firm or just your cases. Click Save when done as shown below:
Step 5: Next you can configure how to have all your PDFs renamed before they are uploaded to Clio. By default, we will rename them similar to a docket entry, with the date filed of the document, the docket entry (DE) number, and the description of the PDF itself. You can change the default naming convention to anything you want using the parameters provided, shown below:
Step 6: Select a default category for the PDF's we will upload to Clio. Typically "pleading" is good generic category, especially since you can change this on a per case basis afterwards. Click Save when done.
Step 7: Now that you have configured your global settings for the CourtDrive-Clio integration, all you need to do is link each of your cases in your CourtDrive account with its corresponding Clio client-matter. You can do that from each CaseFolders' settings tab:
From there, use the drop downs to select your client and matter from your Clio.
NOTE: until you select a client-matter to sync to in Clio, nothing will get uploaded. If you do NOT want to sync a case, simply don't configure it as shown above. Otherwise, after you click save in the screenshot directly above, CourtDrive will automatically upload your PDFs from any ECF notice you receive or any PDF you download from a CourtDrive docket.
